Delete your account

You can delete your FilmGleam account in the app or request deletion here by email, without reinstalling the app.

Delete from the app

Open the account screen and choose Delete account (shown as Eliminar cuenta in Spanish).
Confirm and verify the same Google account again. Keep an internet connection until the app confirms completion.
If the process is interrupted, return to the account screen and choose Continue deletion (Continuar eliminación).

This deletes the FilmGleam account and associated data described below. It does not delete your Google account.

Send a deletion request

Email [email protected] from the Google email address you use to sign in to FilmGleam. Use the subject Delete my FilmGleam account and tell us that you want your account and associated data deleted.

The button opens your email app. Send the email to submit your request. You can also copy the address and write from webmail. Never send your password or verification codes.

What happens after an email request

We confirm ownership by email before deleting account data. If you no longer have access to that email, contact us for help. Our target is to complete verified requests within 30 days and confirm the result by email.

What we delete

We remove the account identifier, email, display name, credit balances and account-linked credit and AI request records from FilmGleam's active Cloudflare D1 database. We delete the account's temporary images from private Cloudflare R2 storage and initiate deletion of its Firebase Authentication sign-in record. See our privacy policy for the data each service processes.

Photos already stored on your phone, including the app's gallery and trash, and copies exported to other apps are not deleted by account deletion. Remove them on your device or through the relevant service. Signing out or uninstalling the app alone does not delete your online account.

What may remain temporarily

A security marker containing only a hash of the deleted account identifier expires after 2 hours and is removed by scheduled cleanup. It prevents an old session from recreating the account. Global usage and cost totals without your account identifier may remain.

Cloudflare D1 recovery history and Firebase's live and backup systems have separate deletion windows. Content already sent to the AI provider is also subject to that provider's security and legal retention rules; deleting FilmGleam does not guarantee immediate erasure from those logs. The periods and provider links are explained in our privacy policy.

Records required by law, for security or to prevent fraud may be retained only for the necessary period. If an exception applies to your request, we explain the data, reason and applicable retention period in our response.

Subscriptions

If you have a Google Play subscription, manage or cancel it in Google Play. Deleting your account or sending this request does not itself cancel a subscription through Google Play.
